"Time to Teach" Classroom Management Program
Format: 5-hour Personal Development Workshop for School Educators.
This program is perfect for: Teachers and school administrators seeking proven practical solutions for classroom management Educators struggling with classroom behaviors and seeking a more effective teaching environment. The audience will leave with: Proven strategies to reduce low-level disruptive behaviors by up to 90%Tools for fostering a positive and productive learning environment
Description: The days of simply posting classroom rules on the wall and hoping students will follow them are a thing of the past. Today's students often struggle with behavior. In fact, teaching behavior is MORE IMPORTANT THAN READING, WRITING, AND ARITHMETIC, because first comes behavior, then comes learning. This workshop eliminates the constant battle with low-level disruptive behaviors that burn teachers out, allowing them more TIME TO TEACH.
The workshop focuses on 5 key components:
1. Self Control - Remain calm/respond right. Using Diffusers and avoiding conflict. Conflict is inevitable; battle is optional. Setting effective limits. Honoring personal space.·
2. Teach To's - Giving the students a voice in classroom rules and procedures. Everyone tells us we need to teach rules and procedures of the classroom, but nobody tells us how. Our programs does. We Teach Expectations, look for performance on those expectations and give accurate and timely consequences.·
3. ReFocus - is what Time to Teach is known for, reducing repeated warnings and multiple requests, while minimizing classroom disruptions. Students receive a single prompt to self-correct. If the behavior continues, they are calmly redirected to a designated "buddy teacher" classroom with a Buddy Sheet to independently reflect on and problem-solve their behavior, promoting personal responsibility and self-regulation.
4. Classroom Ecology - By far the most overlooked area for a successful classroom. Arrangement, scents, sounds, colors, and much more.
5. Unconditional Positive Regard - Relationship building. Kid's don't care how much you know until they know how much you care.
Warnings, Warnings, Warnings…How Many Is Enough?Classroom management is forever a challenge. Time To Teach provides educators with a full personal development day with proven strategies that can be used immediately. These strategies allow a teacher to eliminate repeated warnings and multiple requests. Any educator will be able to stand tall and deliver their lessons with confidence and productivity. No longer will they have to be constantly dealing with classroom discipline disruptions. Instead, they will have what is really important--Time To Teach.
